PopCards is designed for ambient learning, instead of manually opening a study session, flashcards appear on your screen at intervals while you work. It’s lightweight, runs in the background, and keeps you learning without disrupting your workflow. Anki is great for dedicated study sessions, while PopCards fits into your day automatically.
Not at all! While it’s great for memorizing vocabulary and phrases, you can use PopCards for anything , geography, trivia, interview prep, spelling, definitions, even reminders. If it fits on a flashcard, it fits in PopCards.
Because of the inherent nature of PopCards it is currently only available for macOS (Mac desktop and laptop devices). We’re exploring other platforms based on demand and feedback.
PopCards uses macOS’s built-in text-to-speech engine, which supports dozens of languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and many more , depending on your system settings. Find full list here

It’s a one-time payment — no subscriptions, no upsells.
Flashcards are created via an import system. Simply creating a Google Sheet or Excel with all the terms you want to learn and export that as a CSV and import that into PopCards. When importing, simply assign which columns becomes the “front” and which becomes the “back.” You can customize text size, colors, and styling for each deck.
Each flashcard supports styled text, emojis, and audio playback (in the paid version). You can control size, color, font, and positioning to match your preferences, perfect for both minimalist cards and more detailed ones.
Free users can create 1 deck. Paid users can create unlimited decks and switch between them anytime.
