Sprinkles is designed to work locally in your browser. No account is required, and your decks, settings, and learning progress stay on your computer.

Information Sprinkles collects

Sprinkles does not require you to create an account and is not designed to collect personal information about you.

Your flashcard decks, extension settings, learning progress, and related preferences are stored locally using your browser's extension storage.

Website access

Sprinkles needs permission to read and modify webpage content so it can replace selected words with words from your language-learning decks.

This processing happens in your browser. Sprinkles does not use your browsing history to build an advertising profile or sell information about the websites you visit.

Audio and pronunciation

Sprinkles can use speech voices available through your browser or operating system to pronounce words. The extension is designed to use the speech capabilities available on your device rather than requiring a Sprinkles account or remote audio service.

Imported spreadsheet data

If you import a CSV or spreadsheet-based deck, the imported words are used to create your language-learning deck and are stored locally with the rest of your extension data.

Advertising and data sales

Sprinkles does not include advertising and does not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

Sprinkles may rely on browser and operating-system features that are provided by third parties, such as Chrome's extension APIs and your device's available speech voices. Those services may be subject to their own privacy policies.

Deleting your data

Because Sprinkles stores its data locally, you can remove the extension's stored data by deleting your decks and settings within the extension or by uninstalling the extension and clearing its local extension data through your browser.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if Sprinkles changes how it handles data or adds new features. The date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
